The initial Xbox console was produced in Guadalajara, Mexico, and released in November 2001. The region of Southern China’s Pearl River Delta produced its successor, the Xbox 360. Shanghai, China is where the Xbox One is currently made as of September 2014.
Microsoft, an American corporation, created Xbox and contracted Flextronics to produce its consoles. Manufacturing facilities for Flextronics are located all over the world, including in the US, Brazil, Mexico, Hungary, Poland, China, India, and Malaysia. Flextronics, Wistron, Celestica, and Foxconn all have factories in South China where the Xbox 360 was made. In September 2014, Flextronics and Foxconn began producing the Xbox One.
